I don’t really have any other verbiage to describe it. The controls during the rides are garbage. Both versions should have more musical variety and more sounds added more horse sounds, crowd, birds, wind in the trees, rain, etc. I rarely, if ever participate in the races as the controls are boring. There should also be an option to check a box to refrain from having to click watch or participate with an added “don’t ask me again” option you can change in options if you need to, later. In both versions, there should be a max bet button in the before race interface. Kona įor a game with such wonderful potential, pretty good base graphics, a high price tag (desktop version) and an en suite of great beginnings there is much left to be done. The amount of coat colors and patterns is staggering, you’re unlikely to see two horses looking the exact same, and I love the amount of effort that was put into it. And one of the best parts is, despite being a horse game, it’s presented in a very gender neutral and more serious way as opposed to many other results you get when googling “horse games” (such as Star Stable). The horse models and movements look pretty decent, and I love how the commenter actually says some names out loud, including funny combinations like “Egg Egg” or “Massive Mistake”. The gameplay can get quite addicting, watching your horse run down the track is almost hypnotic.
It would be a great addition if you could change the style and length of the mane and tail. The horses all look the exact same if not for their coat.
It’s more of an extra suggestion rather than an absolute must-have, given that the game is obviously centered around the horses, not the people sitting on them. It would be nice if we had the option to purchase additional clothing/hairstyles/patterns/etc. I know you don’t really see your jockey while you play, but the way the jockeys’ faces look is… well, ugly. Better customization options for jockeys would come in handy.
